🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1949, a man named Jonathan E. Caldwell became the focus of an unusual investigation by the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and the U.S. Air Force. Caldwell, owner of the "Gray Goose Corporation," was selling shares to fund the construction of an experimental aircraft that some claimed resembled the flying disks reported in the news. Upon learning of these activities, the OSI sent agents to investigate, leading to a search in Maryland where two aircraft models were found in a tobacco shed. One of them, an autogyro, was functional and reportedly reached a height of 60 feet. However, Caldwell mysteriously disappeared, leaving behind the models and a large amount of documents and shares. The Air Force concluded that these aircraft had no connection to the reported flying saucer phenomena, but Caldwell's attempts to build an unconventional aircraft remain an intriguing mystery.
