🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1949, a series of photographs taken in New Orleans, Louisiana, captured an unusual aerial phenomenon that generated interest. This document, marked as confidential at certain points, contains seven images showing unidentified objects in the sky. Although no detailed description of the event is provided, the photos suggest the presence of an object that does not fit into conventional categories of aircraft or weather balloons. The location and date place the event in a time when UFO reports were becoming more frequent, but were still not standardized.
The document also includes classification and declassification marks, indicating that at some point it was considered sensitive. However, it is now publicly available. The images, though not labeled with detailed descriptions, are an example of how government files handled these events in the 1940s. This case, like many others, remains unexplained, and its study can help us better understand the history of UFO reports in the United States.
