Summary

In January 1950, a B-29 aircraft over the Gulf of Mexico recorded the presence of three unidentified objects on its radar. These appeared and disappeared on the screen, orbiting the aircraft from different directions. Despite good weather conditions, there were no visual sightings. Radar operators noted the objects moving at estimated speeds of up to 3000 miles per hour, which generated surprise and confusion. The aircraft was flying at 10,000 feet altitude, and the objects remained on the radar for approximately 80 minutes, disappearing and reappearing without clear explanation.

The report details that the objects were visible on the radar at short distances, appearing clearly defined. At certain moments, the objects would move away and then return as if performing evasive maneuvers. The radar operator switched between different ranges (20, 50, and 100 miles) to try to obtain more information, but no surface vessels were confirmed. After changing course, the objects stopped appearing on the screen, and the radar returned to normal after crossing the Texas coastline. This case is a classic example of a radar sighting without visual confirmation, making it one of the most intriguing UFO mysteries in history.
