Spherical UFO sighted by Air Force pilots

In January 1950, three U.S. Air Force officers reported an unidentified flying object during a flight between Pope and Bolling Air Force Bases. Captain Theron C. Fehrevach was the first to notice the object, described as a dark sphere with a smoke trail, moving horizontally and evasively.
