🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In January 1950, a witness in Scullville, New Jersey, reported an unusual aerial phenomenon. According to the declassified document, the individual observed a white streak moving northwest, traversing through clouds. After traveling some distance, the streak turned black and began to zigzag before disappearing. The witness noted that the object did not vanish suddenly or dissipate like a cloud, but instead faded gradually. The speed of the phenomenon was estimated to be about half that of a fireworks rocket at close range.
The report concludes that, due to the single sighting and the lack of precise technical data, it was deemed unnecessary to continue the investigation. However, the document mentions that the phenomenon exhibited characteristics similar to a vapor trail produced by a high-flying aircraft. Despite the lack of conclusive evidence, the case was archived as part of the numerous reports of unidentified aerial objects from that era.
