Summary

In April 1950, multiple witnesses in Brunswick, Georgia, reported seeing silver-colored disc-shaped objects leaving vapor trails in the sky. Observers included mechanics, experienced pilots, and members of the local airport commission. The objects were first seen traveling south, then disappeared and reappeared moving north. They were estimated to be flying at altitudes between 30,000 and 40,000 feet, with speeds ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 miles per hour. Although some speculated they might be a new secret jet model, no one had seen anything like them before. The vapor trails confused many, who thought they came from a normal plane at high altitude.

The report was sent to the Air Materiel Command and included a newspaper clipping from the Florida Times Union. Witnesses agreed on the description and unusual movements of the objects. Despite multiple and detailed observations, no photos or sketches were taken. The mystery remained unresolved, and observers could not definitively determine if it was a technological novelty or something else entirely.
