🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1950, a civilian in Jacksonville, Florida, reported observing a bright, spherical object for several hours. The object, described as a shiny aluminum "pinpoint," remained stationary while slowly ascending until it disappeared. Two jet planes passed beneath it without emitting noise or flames. Although observers speculated it might be a weather balloon, no physical evidence or photos were found. The official conclusion pointed to Venus, though the sighting hinted at an unusual aerial phenomenon.
