In August 1950, a witness in Riverdale, Illinois, reported seeing an unidentified flying object described as a "disc." According to the "Chicago Herald-American," the object flew over the witness's house at high speed and altitude. The witness insisted it was too round to be an airplane and too fast to be a balloon. The official report, although recorded, did not lead to further investigation by military authorities. This case is an example of the many reports from that era that stood out for their clear and detailed description.
