🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1950, a worker in Utah sighted an object that initially appeared to be a meteor, but upon closer observation, changed in appearance. The object appeared as a thin line of fire crossing the sky at high speed, widened, dipped, and exploded. The front part separated, and the main body faded out suddenly. The witness estimated the object to be about 40-50 miles away, near the Provo River. Although the report classified it as a meteor, the description suggests a more intriguing observation.
The official report categorized it as a meteor, but the witness's account describes a sequence of events that doesn't easily fit a conventional description. The witness, working on a tunnel near Lark, Utah, contacted the 115th CIC Detachment to report the incident. The testimony details how the object changed shape and behavior, raising doubts about its nature. Although there was no physical evidence or photographs, the visual description is clear and detailed, adding credibility to the account.
