🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1950, a U.S. Air Force officer at March Air Base in California reported an unidentified flying object with a reddish glow. The witness, an aircraft navigator, observed it during a celestial navigation session. The object moved erratically, performing complex maneuvers not typical of conventional aircraft. Although its exact altitude could not be determined, it appeared to be at a great height and moving at high speed. The official report described it as planet-like, but with unstable brightness and an unpredictable trajectory.
The report was submitted to the U.S. Air Force and classified for national defense purposes. Although explanations like meteors or balloons were ruled out, no clear identification was found. The object vanished suddenly, leaving no trail or sound. This case is part of a series of UFO reports from the era, with witnesses being trained professionals, adding credibility to their observations. Despite Air Force efforts, the phenomenon remained unexplained.
