🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1950, five people in Rome, Georgia, reported seeing two unidentified aerial objects. Among them were the manager of Russell Field Airport and a U.S. weather observer. The witnesses agreed they saw the discs at 2:30 p.m., at the same time an Air Force AT-6 training plane was flying over the runway. The objects remained visible for several minutes before disappearing in different directions. One approached the field and then climbed away, but no one could estimate their size or altitude.
The report, extracted from the *Atlanta Constitution*, was submitted by the security officer of the 161st AACS Group. Although no official evaluation was made, the multiple witnesses and the coincidence with a military flight add interest to the case. This event is part of a series of UFO sightings in the 1950s, a time of great curiosity about the unknown.
