🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In February 1951, a civilian in Durban, South Africa, observed a bright dark red object shaped like a torpedo. The witness, looking from a stationary truck, noted that the object moved parallel to the ground, not falling like a star. The official report labeled it as "unidentified."
The object was also seen by others, including passengers at a train station. Although a local astronomer ruled out a comet, no clear explanation emerged. The case was reported to the U.S. Department of State as part of UFO sighting monitoring during the era.
