🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In March 1951, a report was received about an unidentified aircraft heard near Cartwright in Labrador. Although not visually sighted, the sound of the aircraft was clearly recorded. Attempts to contact the aircraft via radio were hindered by ionospheric disturbances in the area. The aircraft was moving southeast and no clear position was reported. The report concluded that the aircraft was not a UFO, but remained classified as "unknown" by the NBAC.
Further investigation found no records of the aircraft in control centers or known flight plans. Despite efforts to obtain more information, the identity of the aircraft could not be determined. This case highlights the challenges faced by researchers during the Cold War when trying to track unidentified objects in the Canadian skies.
