🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1951, a family in Rensselaer, New York, observed two unusual objects in the sky. The objects descended to low altitude and then rapidly ascended, performing maneuvers that did not appear to match a conventional aircraft. The report, archived under project 1951-07-7008007, describes the observation as ground-based and visual, with a duration of five minutes. Although the report suggested the possibility of a balloon or unidentified aircraft, no definitive conclusion was reached.
The United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations received the report but no further investigation was planned. The document, originally classified, was declassified after 42 years, allowing public access. Despite the limited information available, this case remains an example of the numerous unresolved sightings that contributed to public interest in UFO phenomena.
