🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In October 1951, a pilot and his companion observed a bright object while flying at 10,000 feet near Minneapolis. The object moved rapidly from east to west, with a halo and a dark underside. After a maneuver resembling a falling leaf, it disappeared suddenly. Observers tried to track it with a theodolite but couldn't keep up. Later, they saw another object with similar characteristics, leaving no vapor trail.
The investigation concluded it could be a balloon, but witnesses did not identify it as such. Experienced engineers monitoring balloons also reported difficulties in identifying the object. Although other explanations like aircraft or astronomical phenomena were ruled out, the case remains unresolved. The lack of visual traces and the object's maneuverability raised doubts about its nature.
