🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1951, a U.S. Air Force pilot reported a milky white object resembling a Northrop flying wing near Minneapolis, Minnesota. Observed at 25,000 feet during an air patrol mission, the object was described as hovering silently without exhaust or sound. The pilot noted it was about 8 feet wide and appeared to hang in the air. His wingman didn’t see it, and radar failed to detect it. After a 180-degree turn to reacquire the object, it vanished.
The report was submitted to Project Grudge and later classified. Declassified decades later, the document ruled out balloons and conventional aircraft, but no definitive conclusion was reached. The pilot remained convinced it was not a balloon or a plane. The case remains unsolved, typical of many UFO reports from the era.
