🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1951, in Greenland, an unusual aerial phenomenon caught the attention of several observers. An object in the northwest sky showed a gradual color change from black to blue and red, fading in 10 seconds. Interestingly, five to six minutes later, a sound of an explosion rattled the windows. Although several officers and the tower operator observed it, its nature could not be conclusively identified. Some possibilities were dismissed, but there was not enough data for a definitive evaluation.
The report, classified under Project 10073, was sent from a U.S. air base and marked as confidential. Additional information was requested from other military agencies, including a Danish liaison officer who also confirmed the sighting. Despite the thorough documentation, the message includes no photos or radar data, limiting the possibility of a precise identification. This case remains an unsolved mystery in the history of unidentified sightings.
