🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In November 1951, a hunter in South Wales, New York, observed a vapor trail crossing the sky from southwest to northeast. The object itself was not visible, but it left a continuous white trail with a horizontal axis. The witness mentioned a brief reflection, but could not identify shape or size. The trail widened as if dispersed by the wind after the object disappeared. No sound was heard, and it was estimated to be at a high altitude.
Weather conditions indicated strong winds at different altitudes, which could explain the trail's dispersion. However, no aerial activity was recorded in the area. The witness, a former radio operator from World War II, considered it could be a vapor trail from an aircraft, though it was not confirmed. The report concluded there was insufficient data to evaluate the phenomenon with certainty.
