🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In December 1951, a U.S. Air Force pilot reported an unidentified object during a flight near Hastings, Minnesota. At an altitude of 10,000 feet, he observed a white object that initially resembled a kite but soon displayed unusual characteristics. The pilot described the object as appearing to spin and maneuver unpredictably, accelerating rapidly. Although initially assumed to be a weather balloon, its behavior raised questions.
The official report classified it as a balloon, but the pilot's detailed account suggests something more intriguing. He described the object as appearing to consist of two spinning discs, separated by a few feet. Despite his attempts to close the distance, he lost sight of it during a maneuver. Like many such cases, it was filed without a definitive explanation, but remains a fascinating account from the history of UFO sightings.
