🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A MATS crew member spotted vapor trails at high altitude over Goose AFB in Labrador. The incident occurred on March 1, 1952, when Captain W. C. Matthews, flying at 6,000 feet, noticed the trails, which appeared to come from a high-speed aircraft, likely a jet. Matthews reported to the base tower, but no other aircraft were recorded in the area. His testimony was corroborated by a major, who also confirmed the authenticity of the trails. Despite the observer's certainty, the lack of concrete data prevented a definitive evaluation. The case was classified under Project 10073 and archived without conclusions.
