🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1952, RCAF personnel in North Bay, Ontario, reported a bright amber object performing unusual maneuvers. The object was observed for two minutes, executed a sudden reversal, and exceeded the speed of an F-86 twice at low altitude. Although the observers were experienced in identifying conventional aircraft, they couldn't classify the object as a balloon, aircraft, or astronomical phenomenon. The RCAF marked it as "unknown" and no physical evidence was found. The reports generated interest in local media and among Canadian scientific circles, who were starting to take sightings more seriously.
Testimonies aligned on details like color, round shape, and lack of noise. Military and scientific authorities reviewed the cases but reached no definitive conclusions. The RCAF and Canadian scientists, including Dr. Millman and Dr. Mackenzie, admitted they couldn't ignore the reports. Despite the lack of conventional explanation, the case was handled cautiously and filed unresolved.
