In April 1952, two engineers in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, observed an unusual object for 40 minutes. They described a star-colored object that made rapid climbs and dives without emitting sound or exhaust. Its shape changed depending on altitude, and its brightness was four times that of a star. Despite being reported, no conventional explanation was found.

The classified report notes that the witnesses, both engineers with no astronomy training, observed the object from their homes. One called a neighbor to confirm the sighting. The object moved erratically at speeds exceeding any known aircraft. Although balloon and astronomical possibilities were considered, the case remained unresolved.
