🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A classified 1952 report describes an unidentified aerial object observed near Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. The object was described as a bright red glowing, circular light, roughly the size of an eraser at arm's length. The sighting lasted about seven minutes and was visually recorded by an officer. Although several explanations were considered, such as lighthouse lights or astronomical phenomena, none were confirmed. A balloon was launched around 03:00 hours, leading to the possibility that it might have been the observed object. The report concludes that the object's identity could not be confirmed, suggesting it might have been a balloon, though other possibilities were not ruled out.
