🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In April 1952, a civilian in Royal Oak, Michigan, observed a white object described as a "paper plate" in the sky. The object remained stationary and, according to the witness, "turned sideways" before disappearing. When the observer went to get binoculars, the object was no longer visible upon returning. The lack of precise data prevented a conclusive evaluation by military authorities. Like many other cases from the era, this sighting reflects the confusion and mystery surrounding UFO reports in the 1950s. Although conventional explanations were not ruled out, the testimony could not be corroborated by other observers.
