Summary

In April 1952, a U.S. Air Force officer reported a bright green light in the sky above Selfridge AFB in Michigan. The light appeared suddenly, moved horizontally toward the north, and disappeared within three to four seconds. The witness described the color as "kelly green" and noted that the light was bright enough to reflect in a puddle of water along the road. No sound was heard and no physical object was seen, which raised questions about its nature. Two other officers confirmed seeing a light, but believed it was an overhead beacon.
