🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1952, a 16-year-old girl in Mishawaka, Indiana, observed a reddish oval object in the sky. The UFO hovered for nearly 30 seconds before suddenly ascending and disappearing into a cloud. Although several explanations were considered, such as balloons or astronomical phenomena, no definitive conclusion was reached. The observer described the object's shape, color, and movement in detail, and no sound or propulsion traces were reported. The lack of physical evidence and additional witnesses left the case in a state of insufficient data.
The clear night with scattered clouds and the absence of known aerial activity added mystery to the event. Although it was suggested the object could have been a lighthouse reflection or a high-altitude balloon, the observer's precise description and the lack of noise did not align with these conventional explanations. The official report, though detailed, concluded there was not enough information to evaluate the phenomenon with certainty, leaving the door open to speculation.
