🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In 1952, a group of engineers in San Diego formed a club to investigate unidentified flying objects. Known as the "Flying Saucer Sighting Club," members would alert each other when an unusual aerial object was spotted. They collaborated to perform triangulations and mathematical calculations, documenting several sightings between March and June of that year. The observed objects were tubular in shape, with blue, green, and orange lights, and moved silently at speeds of 200-300 mph.
One detailed sighting described an object 50 feet long and 20 feet in diameter. Although initially considered a balloon or an astronomical phenomenon, the observed characteristics and behavior did not match conventional objects. The engineers, using technical expertise, meticulously recorded their observations, including mathematical calculations and sketches. Despite thorough documentation, no definitive conclusion about the nature of the objects was reached, and the case was filed without further action.
