🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1952, four employees of DuPont in South Carolina observed several yellow disc-shaped objects. The witnesses reported seeing between one and four discs, all traveling at high speed and at elevated altitudes, without making noise. One of the objects even had to rapidly ascend to avoid colliding with ground structures. Despite multiple sightings, no conclusive identification of the phenomenon was achieved. Authorities considered possible explanations such as balloons, aircraft or astronomical events, but no evidence was conclusive.
The official investigation concluded that there was not enough information to evaluate the case. The witnesses' reports coincided on details such as the shape, color and behavior of the objects, which generated some confusion among authorities. Some speculated they could have been birds or balloons, but these theories could not be confirmed. The case was filed without a definitive resolution, adding another mystery to the already extensive list of sightings from 1952.
