🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1952, multiple witnesses in southern California and Arizona reported unidentified flying objects (UFOs) over El Centro. Testimonies included sightings of bright lights, fast-moving objects, and unusual shapes. Some believed they were meteors or aircraft, while others found no conventional explanation. Radar records captured a "long streak" during two antenna sweeps, adding to the mystery. Military and civilian authorities investigated but found no clear cause. Confusion persisted, with witnesses citing reflections from car headlights, the planet Venus, or even weather balloons. However, the nature and behavior of the objects remain unexplained.
