In May 1952, a group of amateur astronomers in Greenville, South Carolina, observed four objects in a diamond formation. They appeared oval-shaped, with a brownish-orange glow, and moved silently, oscillating slightly. One witness compared their size to a half-dollar held at arm's length. Initially, some thought they might be birds like geese or ducks, but others dismissed this due to the lack of artificial lights in the area. The description of the objects and their movement raised questions about their true nature.
The observers were in a dark location ideal for astronomy, ruling out reflections from artificial lights. While one witness was certain they were geese, the other three were not. No sound or trace of conventional aircraft was recorded. This experience fits into a series of 1952 sightings where unidentified objects sparked debate among experts and witnesses.
