🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1952, multiple witnesses in Washington D.C. reported an unidentified aerial object with a saucer-like shape and a golden-orange color. A navy officer and three others observed it moving rapidly southward, covering a wide arc of the sky. The object made no sound and vanished before reaching the horizon, puzzling the observers.
Authorities reviewed the case and ruled out conventional explanations such as balloons, reflections, or aircraft. Although the object was estimated to be between 5 and 10 feet in diameter, its exact altitude and speed could not be determined. The report concluded it was neither a meteorological phenomenon nor a known artifact, leaving the nature of the object unresolved.
