🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In May 1952, a U.S. Air Force officer in French Morocco observed a mysterious floating object. While fishing at Temara Beach, a local boy drew his attention to something that was neither a buoy nor the mast of a sunken ship. The officer, with extensive maritime experience, described the object as resembling a submarine periscope. It remained motionless for 20 to 30 minutes, raising questions about its identity. The calm sea and clear visibility made the observation possible, but by the end of the day, the object had vanished.
Despite further searches, the object could not be found again. The official report labeled it as an "unidentified floating object," without reaching a definitive conclusion. The officer's detailed description and prior experience added credibility to his testimony. However, the lack of physical or photographic evidence kept the mystery unresolved. This case, like many from the 1950s, reflects the confusion and uncertainty surrounding UFO sightings during that era.
