In May 1952, a U.S. officer in Saigon, Indochina, recorded a sighting of an unidentified flying object. The report, part of Project 10073, describes a white and silver disc observed between 10 and 11 p.m. Witnesses reported the object moving at great speed, silently and without a trail. Although several explanations such as weather balloons or astronomical phenomena were considered, none were confirmed. The report was classified for security reasons and only declassified decades later.
