🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1952, a witness in Chicago reported seeing two dark globular objects with a gray center. They moved swiftly and steadily northeast without changing direction or speed. Though initially uncertain, the observer concluded they were not conventional aircraft. The official report classified it as "possibly an aircraft," but no conventional explanations were found. The witness, a 29-year-old secretary, detailed the size, altitude, and speed with precision, suggesting it could have been an experimental rocket or guided missile.
The object was described with a burnt orange glow from the rear and a football-like shape. The U.S. Air Force documented the sighting as part of their efforts to evaluate unidentified objects, though no interception actions or photographs were taken. The witness had no prior experience with similar objects, adding credibility to her account. The case remains unresolved, but its detailed and coherent nature makes it a notable example of Cold War UFO reports.
