🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In June 1952, a witness in Los Alamos, New Mexico, reported an unidentified flying object with a circular shape and a red-orange tail moving slowly westward. The object made no sound and showed no visible aerodynamic features. Although a meteor was considered, its color and speed did not match typical meteors. The report noted that the object suddenly disappeared like a fading light, raising questions about its nature.
The sighting was documented in an official Air Intelligence report, highlighting the observer's reliability and favorable weather conditions. Despite scrambled fighter jets, the object could not be identified. This case, along with others from the era, reflects the confusion and concern of military authorities regarding unexplained aerial phenomena during the Cold War.
