Summary

In June 1952, a couple in Phoenix, Arizona, observed a luminous object moving at an extraordinary speed. They described a round, brilliant object, glowing like a welding torch, appearing and disappearing without a trace. The object, as large as a full moon, made no sound and moved in unpredictable patterns. The couple saw it for about thirty seconds, enough time to leave them both amazed and puzzled. The official report, classified and later declassified, found no conventional explanations or additional confirmations.

The investigation, led by the 17th District of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, concluded without resolving the mystery. Although the witnesses were considered of average intelligence, their testimony did not fit any known category. The case was officially closed, but the description of the phenomenon remains unusual and draws attention for its precision and coherence.
