🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1952, an airfield technician at Wright-Patterson AFB observed three bright objects with a gold band for one hour. The witness described them as dark red, silent, and moving slowly between clouds. His wife and a neighbor confirmed the sighting. Although the official report classified the object as a balloon, the description and behavior raised questions. The Air Force also received similar reports from Alaska, where pilots and radar observers encountered unidentified targets. These cases, though different, reflect the military's interest in unexplained aerial phenomena during the Cold War. In Ohio, the photo analysis suggested a balloon, but the lack of visual confirmation and unusual behavior hinted at something more mysterious.
