Summary

In July 1952, near Osceola, Wisconsin, multiple unidentified flying objects were detected via radar over the course of an hour. Observers noted between one and ten targets, some moving in loose formations at speeds of 50 to 60 knots, and one standout object traveling over 600 knots. A plane was scrambled to intercept them, but no identification was achieved. Weather conditions were clear with no reported lightning or interference.

A pilot visually reported objects resembling shooting stars or comets, though he couldn't close in due to the high speed and estimated altitude of the targets. The air base concluded there was no clear explanation, attributing some movements to possible anomalous radar propagation conditions. The official report left the mystery unresolved.
