🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, an amateur photographer in Elizabeth, New Jersey, accidentally discovered unidentified objects in images he had taken weeks earlier. The photos, developed without revealing their content, showed bright spots and trails that caught attention. A customer gave him the images, and after noticing these anomalies, the photographer contacted military authorities. The photographs were taken from the roof of his house, pointing toward Staten Island, using a 35 mm camera with exposure times ranging from 10 to 25 minutes. Although the phenomenon was not clearly identified, the data was insufficient for a conclusive evaluation. The lack of direct visual witnesses and the impossibility of intercepting the object added mystery to the case, which was classified as low priority by air authorities.
