Round UFO sighted in San Antonio in 1952

Summary

A civilian woman observed a round object in July 1952 in San Antonio, Texas. The object appeared as large as the dome of a transit tower 5 miles away. It had a brilliant white glow, similar to burning magnesium, and emitted fireballs from two bulbs attached to a pendulum-like device. The object moved north, paused, briefly shifted east and west, then ascended slowly until it disappeared. The witness used Carl Zeiss-Jena binoculars to see an orange glow in the center. A jet flew nearby, but the UFO was over 35,000 feet high. The observation lasted 80 minutes, with 20 minutes of stillness. No noise or physical evidence was found.
