🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
A weather observer at Logan Airport spotted an unidentified object in July 1952 while using a theodolite for balloon tracking. The object appeared during a routine weather balloon launch and remained visible for eleven minutes. It displayed colored lights (red, green, and blue) that changed intensity and position, making full circles in the sky. The observer checked with air traffic control and found no aircraft in the area. Although initially considering it a weather balloon, the object's behavior raised doubts. The report was submitted to military authorities, who tentatively classified it as a balloon but left room for alternative explanations.
