🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In July 1952, two employees at a laboratory in Thomaston, Connecticut, observed an unidentified flying object shaped like a cigar with a black gondola underneath. They saw it from a moving car, unable to determine its altitude or hear any sound. The object appeared motionless at first and then moved at a shallow angle, disappearing after a few seconds. The witnesses, who had no prior experience with sightings and normal vision, agreed on the description and the clear weather conditions.
The official investigation found no physical evidence or activity that could explain the sighting. The weather was ideal, with perfect visibility and clear skies. Despite the detailed account, no identification attempt was made. The report was sent to various military units, but no further action was taken. This case remains one of many unresolved UFO incidents in history.
