Summary

A group of women in the Bronx spotted 17 flying objects arranged in an inverted "C" formation on July 25, 1952. The incident occurred when Rita Acuna, a 16-year-old commercial art student, and three others were stargazing. The objects, reddish-orange in color, appeared for about 10 seconds and moved at high speed. Rita created a watercolor sketch of the event, which was sent to Air Force officials for investigation. The sighting was confirmed by her mother, a neighbor, and her younger sister. Witnesses agreed the objects were silent and appeared self-luminous.
