🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
An industrial engineer in Baltimore, Maryland, reported a bright red flashing object in the sky in 1952. The phenomenon was observed multiple times that August, with flashes occurring every 20 seconds to one minute and 40 seconds. The witness described an object moving erratically over the eastern part of the city, shifting between red and copper colors. Although a balloon was considered, the object was never intercepted or photographed. The Air Force reviewed weather data and found no aerial activity in the area, adding to the mystery.
Military authorities evaluated the report and concluded there was insufficient evidence to determine the object's nature. Despite efforts to rule out conventional explanations, the case remains unsolved. The engineer's detailed observations and the lack of physical evidence or radar confirmation make it a curious entry in UFO history.
