Summary

In August 1952, two pilots of a C-47 observed a round, blue-white object with a trail moving at high speed. The object suddenly appeared near the left wing of the aircraft, remained visible for two seconds, and then disappeared. Although the pilot considered the possibility of a comet, there was no confirmation of astronomical activity in the area. Weather conditions were clear and stable, and no unusual sounds were noted. The co-pilot, seated on the opposite side of the aircraft, had a partially obstructed view of the object due to his position.

The official investigation found no physical evidence or additional testimonies supporting the sighting. Conventional explanations such as balloons or aircraft were dismissed, but no clear cause was identified. The pilot, with 800 flight hours, firmly stated he had never seen unidentified objects before. Despite the limitations of the observation, the report reflects the uncertainty and rigor with which UFO sightings were handled at the time.
