Summary

In August 1952, a citizen of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, reported a bright object in the sky. The witness, from their third-floor apartment, observed a light as intense as a car's headlight. The object was rising rapidly toward the southeast without emitting sound or trail. The visibility was clear and it remained visible for about three to four seconds before disappearing. The report, although with OCR errors, describes a clear and detailed observation.

The description of the object suggests a round shape, the size of an orange, and its vertical movement at high speed drew attention. The witness had no knowledge about aircraft and could not estimate speed or altitude. This case was sent to multiple air intelligence units for analysis, including centers in Ohio and Colorado. Despite the lack of physical evidence, the testimony was considered credible.
