In December 1967, a naval base in Patuxent recorded multiple encounters with unidentified objects. Radars captured three distinct appearances, with astonishing speeds and maneuvers impossible for conventional aircraft. One object was observed traveling at 6,000 miles per hour before suddenly disappearing from the radar. These data, though fragmented, suggest that military authorities were already monitoring unexplained aerial phenomena with interest.
Additionally, coincidences were recorded with another radar in Salisbury, Maryland, indicating these were not isolated anomalies. The estimated altitude of the objects ranged between 3,000 and 25,000 feet, further complicating any conventional explanation. These documents, though partially illegible, are historical evidence of how U.S. authorities were already taking note of UFOs more than half a century ago.
