🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, the Port Austin Air Base in Michigan recorded a series of unidentified objects through its radar. Operators observed 2000 objects traveling at speeds exceeding 1200 knots near Gore Bay, Canada. Although initially considered possible balloons, the evaluation concluded there was insufficient data to determine their nature. Weather conditions included occasional rain, which did not help clarify the situation. The collected data indicated the objects were very large and moved in an unusual manner, without confirming if they were aircraft or astronomical phenomena.
The classified report was submitted by Captain Roy W. Anderson and other officers, who noted that radar equipment was functioning properly and observers were experienced personnel. Despite efforts to identify the objects, no clear explanation was found. This case is part of a series of UFO reports from the era reflecting uncertainty and interest in unexplained aerial phenomena.
