🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, an Air Force intelligence officer in Tucson, Arizona, reported the sighting of an unidentified flying object with a spherical shape. The report details that the object appeared as a white light moving slowly westward, with a diffuse halo around its lower part. The observer, an experienced electrician, stated it was not an astronomical or meteorological phenomenon. Although a balloon was considered, it could not be confirmed due to lack of precise data. The object disappeared suddenly without a trace, creating uncertainty about its nature.
The report includes diagrams and detailed descriptions of the object's movement and appearance. The observer used a telescope and estimated the object's speed to be slower than a B-29 aircraft. There were no interception attempts or physical evidence recovered. Despite normal weather conditions being recorded, no clear explanation was identified for the phenomenon. The case was classified as "insufficient to evaluate," reflecting the ambiguity of the available data.
