🇺🇸 USAF — Project Blue Book
In August 1952, a man in St. Paul, Minnesota, observed a mysterious aerial object resembling a jet aircraft but with no visible wings. The object was elliptical, silver or aluminum in color, and moved at high speed without making noise. He saw it for 10 to 15 seconds before it suddenly vanished, like a light being turned off. The official report did not identify it as a balloon, an astronomical phenomenon, or any conventional object, concluding there was insufficient data for evaluation. The witness, a 43-year-old engineer, described the shape, motion, and complete silence in detail, emphasizing it was not a meteorite or an optical illusion.
The case was officially recorded by the 31st Air Division and sent to the Air Technical Intelligence Center (ATIC). Despite no confirmation of other witnesses, the report includes a diagram of the object and a precise description of its trajectory. The witness also wrote a letter years later, reiterating his experience and calculating the object's speed to be over 1000 km/h. Although no definitive explanation was reached, the case was filed as "unresolved," reflecting the uncertainty surrounding many sightings of the time.
